Crazy month this month. We’ve got a couple of not expected products available in January. Adblue via Singapore and Urea fertilizer from Malaysia. As China has stopped making urea (which is possibly due to a lack of coal) there is now a shortage. I rang the Singaporean manufacturer and was told that they are now swamped with Korea being the big enquiry, like the country Korea, not a company. I then sourced around locally for some and was able to get 500ltrs before the container leaves (arriving 2nd week Jan ’21)
Along with, and easier to source, is the 46% nitrogen fertilizer (urea formaldehyde) which is used for fertilizer in agriculture. I have got a little bit of this and will work on finding more sales locally with the idea to bring it in as bulk later on. This is a slow release nitrogen fertilizer, hopefully there will be a market around the farms of Hume.
The problem with both of these items which are usually sold cheaply in bulk is that the shipping is almost worth more than the product itself. It’s a hard sell when you need to mark a product up 100+% from what people are used to.
Finally, shipping is now 6 times our old 2019 price….it’s still going up.
